Description
Chaumet 18k Yellow Gold “Dandy” Full Size Men’s Dress Watch
Manual Mechanical Winding Movement. White Dial. Brown Crocodile Strap.
In excellent condition. Worn carefully by a collector about a dozen times. Some minor scuffs from normal careful wear on a solid gold watch.
Comes attached with an aftermarket brown crocodile strap in new condition. Comes with an 18k YG Chaumet buckle. Sorry but the box and papers are misplaced.
With its unique cushion shape, the Dandy watch combines traditional watchmaking expertise with elegance and impertinence. This is Chaumet’s flagship design and combines the DNA of Chaumet’s traditional role as royal Parisian high jeweler and high-end watchmaker.
Size: 39 mm with crown (41 mm without crown). Men’s full dress size. Curved back and short lugs make this watch delightfully comfortable to wear.
Weighs a hefty 75 grams — a lot of hefty gold for a dress watch.
Features:
Dial and case: White opaline dial with Chaumet’s signature “bayadères stripe guilloche.” Markers made of 18k yellow gold, with luminescent markers subtly applied. Crown is set with a black gem cabochon. The case exhibits a beautiful interplay of high polishing on the bezel and back case and matte brushed finish on the side. Design is very sensible and exquisite.
Mechanical manual winding movement with sub second at 6 o’clock.
Brown crocodile strap.
Comes with 18k YG Chaumet pin buckle.
Elegant timepieces for exceptional men
From the Marquess of Montesquiou to Sacha Guitry, via Marcel Proust, Chaumet has been seducing the dandies of fashion, art, and literature since the 19th century. The Dandy collection pays tribute to this history, embodying this very particular attitude of elegance, charm, and impertinence. Both an evening watch and a piece of men’s jewelry, it reconciles traditional watchmaking excellence with a bold fashion statement.
The oval-shaped dial houses a complex mechanism developed by Chaumet in collaboration with the best Swiss engineers, for lovers of high-class timepieces: a new way of telling the time and a collection like no other.
