Description
Ultra rare and desirable.
Grand astronomical complication.
All sold out. Extremely rare. One of the most collectible independent high horology pieces ever.
Van der Klaauw is a creative genius who introduces fantastic astronomical elements and superb finishing to modern watchmaking. He is in the same creative league as Urwerk, Christophe Claret, and MB&F.
The Eclipse is one of the most complicated watches ever created by CVDK.
If you are looking at this, then you are true connoisseur. This piece is a true collector’s dream.
Features: An astronomical beauty, the watch features a lovely sliver guilloche dial and a glowing red gold case. This piece shows the wearer the date, month, moonphase (with a sun and moon indicator at 12 o’clock), and the solar or lunar eclipse (with a dial at 6 o’clock). Christiaan employed the venerable hand engraver Benzinger to hand-decorate the caliber and 18k solid gold rotor with guilloche and engraving.
In mint, like-new condition. Carefully owned by a collector and worn a handful of times to special events. Comes with a black crocodile (aftermarket) strap and CVDK rose gold buckle. Sorry, but the box and papers are misplaced.
Dial: Beautiful finished gold dial with two separate patterns of guilloche.
Dimension: measures 40 mm without crown. 42 mm with crown. 10 mm thick. Contemporary size dress watch.
Weighs a solid 126 grams.
Exactly as shown in photos. We only use photos of the actual watch.
This watch can sell for over $60,000 on the secondary market. This should be more valuable due to its especially limited nature and the Benzinger decoration.
