We pride ourselves on offering an exclusive selection of some of the most highly crafted, artisan timepieces available worldwide. Leroy is one such exceptional watchmaking brand, which we have the pleasure to highlight today.
Leroy is a watchmaking enterprise that began in 1785 based on the work of artisans who were so esteemed in their craft; they were watchmakers to the King of France. Julien Le Roy was noted for his development of a watch’s ability to mark seconds, and for synthesizing the French and British watchmaking cultures. His son, Pierre Le Roy, later became renowned as one of the fathers of modern chronometry. While Julien and Pierre themselves were not part of the founding of Leroy, their work in the world of watchmaking was foundational to the training of Basile-Charles Le Roy, who founded Leroy in 1785.
Basile-Charles himself was so exceptional as to earn accreditation as a Master Watchmaker when he was only 20 years old. More than 220 years have shaped the craftsmanship and brilliance of timepieces made in the House of Leroy. Today, Leroy is known for remarkable luxury timepieces that are crafted with both a deep knowledge from its cultivated past, and an inspiring vision into the future. Each watch from Leroy features timeless design and is crafted with avant-garde techniques.
Here is a video about Leroy:
The Swiss Watch Authority, WorldTempus, notes, “The designers, engineers and watchmakers at Leroy are all driven by the same passion and desire, which can be summed up as follows: creating exceptional mechanical timepieces, boasting certified chronometric capabilities and tried and tested reliability.”
The four Leroy watches we offer are all crafted with the utmost respect for history and tradition. They all have 18K yellow gold casing, gorgeous hand-guilloche dials, blued-steel hands, and markers that have been applied to the watch face in the precious and rare blue-de-nuit Indian ink.
