Limited Edition of 250. Model: Ref 80175-11-019YFK6A. Near-Mint Condition
Featuring the prestigious GP in-house produced flyback chronograph movement. The flyback offers the ability to reset and restart the chronograph instantaneously with a single push of a button (instead of a sequential stop, reset, and restart pattern in traditional chronographs). It is more technically sophisticated and expensive than traditional chronographs.
The Laureato is Girard Perregaux’s equivalent to luxury sport watch Royal Oak by Audemars Piguet, and the Nautilus by Patek Phillipe. Given the original design, craftsmanship, in-house movement, and mechanical functionality, and quality of the material, I believe the price is quite a bargain. It is a shame that the case back is not transparent, because the movement is also meticulously fine-finished and decorated by hand, to the highest standard of Girard Perregaux.
Large size with 45mm without crown, and 15mm thick. Very masculine and sporty, but not oversized. It can also be worn with a dress shirt.
Black racing dial, hours, minutes, subsidiary seconds at 3, 12-hour counter at 6, 24-hour display at 9, luminescent hands, chronograph with central flyback second hand.
Water resistant to 100 meters.
Power reserve of 46 hours.
It is a world-wide limited edition of 250 pieces, due to the rarity of the piece, and to protect potential winners, I have blackened out the serial number in the photos.
The original GP rubber strap is brand new and unadjusted and can fit wrist size up to 9 inches.
