Extremely rare and one of the holy grails for Chronoswiss collectors. One of the breathtakingly beautiful watches I've seen! Intricate piece of art!
Embodies the best of traditional techniques, modern styling, and ultra-high-level mechanical complication all in one!
Extremely small and limited production, very expensive to produce. Weighs a hefty 147 grams of platinum. Not only is platinum more expensive than gold, 95% platinum is also more pure than 18K gold, Compared with gold watches, platinum cases are a lot harder, and requires much more sturdy and expensive cutting tools during the machining process.
This is a high complication. The watch can mechanically chime, on demand with a push of the button at 2'O clock, the current time up to the last 15 minutes. So a 3:35 would sound like “Ding, Ding Ding, Ding-dong, Ding-dong”. This mechanism is very hard to do, and an automatic repeater is even rarer, as most repeater watches are manual winding.
The sound is heavenly!
This is one of the hardest mechanisms to master in mechanical watchmaking, and many argue that it is more difficult to master than tourbillon.
With these complications, similar models from some other Swiss brands would sell for upward of $150,000 to $200,000. The pricing of the Chronoswiss, given its amazing quality, is a superb value!
The automatic movement is beautifully finished with the traditional Swiss watchmaking decorative patterns such as anglage, perlage, cote-de-geneve.
Comes with complete boxes and papers as shown. special platinum edition (with white gold color thread) crocodile strap in brand new condition.
The buckle is original 950 platinum Chronoswiss buckle.
The leather straps are made especially for the platinum version, with white gold color thread. Again, cannot be found in white gold or steel versions. It just shows that no detail is spared, even to the strap, for this super rare platinum masterpiece.
